The LEED Rating System And How They Help Attain Sustainability For Green Certification.

The rating system by LEED Council has five different categories for Green certification and all the LEED training communicate just what is needed for endorsing the Standards. The groupings are Building Design & Construction, Interior Design & Construction, Operations & Maintenance, Homes And Neighborhood Development.  All these groupings correspond to requirements of a LEED professional and a LEED certification aims that. Category one Building Design and Construction contains five independent rating systems for building certification with guidelines for new buildings and for old buildings under renovation. All schools, office buildings, Hospitals and other apartment buildings come under this category.

Category Two covers Green Interior Design and construction including LEED commercial and retail interiors where rating system has been designed specifically for leasing of buildings by tenants having larger buildings and other spaces for commercial leasing. Category Three is for Green Building operations and Maintenance which includes Leadership For existing Buildings and existing schools. The building owners and operators can use the rating systems for assessing their operations and maintenance and for making minor improvements. Category Four is for homes and Five is neighborhood development. LEED Training prepares professionals for competence in rating system.
